About Me
I am so excited to be one of your partners in learning this year! I’m looking forward to meeting you all and working with you as we embark on this educational journey together.
Education
I attended Florida Gulf Coast University, graduating with my B.A. in political science with a minor in Medieval and Early Modern Studies following the Fall 2022 semester. I am currently pursuing a second Bachelors degree in English with a minor in Anthropology with expected graduation following the Summer 2023 semester.
Teaching Experience
I’m high school, I was a tutor for Spanish and biology students who may have needed remedial work or additional help to understand their material. At the collegiate level I work as a Learning Assistant for Dr. Bergerson in the Political Science department, where I act in a teaching role to present material to the class, craft my own academic materials, work with students in small group learning activities, create activities and discussions for class work, and hold office hours.
Interests
When I’m not teaching, tutoring, or working, I enjoy gardening, cooking/baking, and creating artwork! I have a background in both 2D and 3D design and am a galleried artist. I have a number of plants that I take care of, and am currently growing hydroponic tomatoes. My favorite thing to cook is soup and my favorite things to bake are specially flavored cupcakes and artisanal bread.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
